(Nashville Bluegrass Co. NBLP-105) 1980
Although there have been other bands using the 'Mountain Echoes' name, this Eastern Kentucky outfit had, according to the liner notes, been playing for years and "take pride in playing and singing The Stanley Brothers style of bluegrass music".
Released on Jack Lynch's 'Nashville Bluegrass' label, it contains a number of songs drawn from the Stanley repertoire, performed with enthusiasm, but let down a bit by the recording quality and uneven sound mix.
It is however mainly of interest, as it's probably Sammy Adkins first recording...
The band had at least one other Gospel LP, Hand In Hand With Jesus in 1982.
I'm not sure if Marvin Adkins is related to Sammy, but it's likely... An on-line search hasn't revealed much either - it looks like Asa 'A.M.' DeBusk, from Ezel Kentucky, died in 2010, but his obituary doesn't mention music.[1]
