Please rate this album:

This is a fabulous Gospel CD on Larry's own Sparks Music label with a total playing time of 32:39.

Musically, the album largely stands up on it's own accord, with a good varied selection of tunes from the bouncy Something Going On In The Graveyard to the closing a capella title cut, I Don't Regret A Mile. Only Get On Up is a tad repetitive for it's 3:17 running time...

Connie Leigh's If God Came Tomorrow is one of the highlights, posing questions about how to live a good life.

Just An Old Country Preacher is another fine effort with lovely melody and vocal.

Larry also resurrects What Kind Of Man which he recorded with Ralph Stanley on 1968's Over The Sunset Hill. Curiously the song writing on the CD is credited solely to Larry Sparks, rather than being co-credited with Ralph.

This seems to be the last of Larry's albums to feature Josh McMurray on banjo.

  • Larry Sparks: guitar, lead & harmony vocals
  • Jeff Brown: tenor vocal
  • Mike Feagan: fiddle, baritone / bass vocal
  • Jack Kincaid: mandolin
  • Josh McMurray: banjo
  • Larry D. Sparks: bass
  • Ron Stewart: fiddle, banjo, mandolin
