This Japanese compilation is drawn mainly from the Stanley Brother's recordings for Starday, with six tracks from the Mountain Song Favorites LP, and five from the Sacred Songs From The Hills album. The remaining song, Bully Of The Town, is from the King LP The Remarkable Stanley Brothers Play And Sing Bluegrass Songs For You.
The iconic photo on the cover by Walt Saunders was taken at the American Legion Park, Culpepper, Va. 26th June 1966.
Nowadays probably the best way to get all the material is on The Early Starday/King Years, 1958-1961 4xCD box set, except for Bully Of The Town which can be found on The King Years, 1961-1965 4xCD set.
