(A&O Productions AO-900) 1982
This final retrospective album is best avoided, unless you want to hear Chubby pick the banjo, fiddle, mandolin and lead guitar... It was recorded in 1979 at Central Sound Studio in Auburndale Florida, when Glen Odom persuaded Chubby to record some country tunes, given the lure of free studio time.
Eleven tracks were recorded, before Chubby died on 5th February 1980. To complete the album, Glen Odom took Huskie's Fiddle from the Tall Timber Bluegrass - The Best Of Bluegrass LP and overdubbed drums and backing vocals...
What's not clear from the liner notes, is whether the dobro, steel guitar, drums and backing vocals on the rest of the tracks were overdubbed later, or were part of the original recordings... Either way, it's pretty dire.
NB: Vocal on Huskie's Fiddle by Chubby Anthony and Robert McDougal.
