This live album was recorded 20th October 2010 at the Beacon Theatre in New York, and was one of three 'Speaking Clock Review Concerts' held in support of the Participant Foundation.[1] The foundation aims to support music and arts education in US public schools, and the concerts were conceived by T. Bone Burnett after he'd seen the 'Waiting For Superman' documentary, about the state of public education in the 'states. Elvis Costello named the event 'The Speaking Clock Revue' because "It's about time"...

Most of the CD is rock / pop, with a couple of exceptions. I was quite suprised by The Punch Brothers, who I'd normally not touch with a bargepole... Their Rye Whiskey, is pretty decent and sounds somewhat similar to The Earl Brothers...

Ralph performs Lift Him Up That's All, with James Alan Shelton on guitar and Dennis Crouch on bass. At the time of the concert, the song had just been recorded for Ralph's A Mother's Prayer CD.

There are also some clips on youtube from the concerts, with Ralph performing Man Of Constant Sorrow and Girl From The Greenbriar Shore.
