The Lost Kentuckians's third and final album includes Dana Cupp Jr on bass and Eddie Carroll on guitar. It was recorded by Old Homestead's studios in Brighton, Michigan in Jan. 1981 and Darith Randolph's absence from the band was temporary.

The majority of the material is drawn from other acts, with four tracks from Bill Monroe's repertoire: You're Drifting Away (1951), Tomorrow May Be Too Late (aka Don't Put Of Until Tomorrow) (1952), Lord Lead Me On (1958), and Show Me The Way (1975); plus Hank Williams' Devils Train; Louvin Brothers' I'll Never Go Back; and Clinging To A Saving Hand which had been recorded by Connie Smith (1970) and Conway Twitty (1973).

Troublesome Waters was also recorded by Ralph on his Snow Covered Mound album in 1980.

Candace Randolph's contributes two original songs I Saw The Pale Moon Shining and Sea Of Blood, whilst Old Homestead label owner John Morris' provided Mama Sing Again For Me and the arrangement for the title cut No One To Welcome Me Home.

I Saw The Pale Moon Shining is a slow lament featuring finger picked guitar and harmony vocals. Sea Of Blood is likewise a guitar-based piece, with brooding bass & solo vocal.

Joe Meadows mostly plays backing fills, kick-offs & counterpoint melodies on the album, but is featured on most tracks & has breaks on Show Me The Way and Tomorrow May Be Too Late.

For info on the history of the Lost Kentuckians see the The Lost Kentuckians (with Joe Meadows) entry.
